Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
Reports To: National Sales Manager
Position is: Salary Plus Commission

Pay Structure: Base Salary: $35-$45K (depending on degree type) plus monthly commissions on percentage of gross sales $60K + earning potential first year

Summary of Position:

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this Inside Sales Representative position is responsible for supporting and working as a team with the outside sales and administrative staff with selling a wide range of microbiology scientific related consumable products, equipment and services to industries including: food, pharmaceutical, universities and contract laboratories. This energetic, professional, self-directed Inside Sales Representative will work to ensure sales growth consistent with the business plan, follow-up on leads, initiate cold calls to prospective customers, generate sales of new products while maintaining current customers, perform pre-sales activities including quotes, supplying marketing material and closing sales transactions while developing strong relationships with customers. This position will also assist in presenting product demos for end-users for in-house demos and will attend various trade shows.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inside sales including processing sales leads, customer follow-ups on product requests, generating quotes, performing cold calls and processing completed orders for products and services
  • Drive sales growth of consumable products
  • Communicate with prospective & existing customers on all products and services offered, emphasizing product features and benefits and convince them to purchase the product
  • Generate quotes and bids using BusinessWorks
  • Forward qualified leads to territory representatives by tasking and emails
  • Submit and follow-up on monthly advertisements and maintain sales campaigns
  • Provide customers detailed marketing material related to product requests/li>
  • Capturing of accurate and complete information to maintain, enter and update sales & lead information in the Maximizer CRM (customer relationship management) database system
  • Initiate prompt email follow-ups from trade shows leads
  • Interface with administration on all Maximizer issues
  • Understand the needs and expectations of the customers, present key features and advantages of the company products, provide relevant solutions or alternatives in their preferred choice of products to secure new business
  • Communicate the methods of using our products and resolve customer inquiries
  • Analyze the choices and financial capacities of every customer and suggest suitable products
  • Close sales deals and achieving customer satisfaction
  • Attending sales meetings concerning sales targets, forecasts and marketing campaigns.
  • Scheduling or assisting with in-house and customer site demos
  • Competitor product research and reporting
  • Trade show attendance, coordination and marketing
  • Maintain outstanding professional relationships with other staff members, customers, industry contacts and vendors necessary in the best interest of the company and in conformity with objectives and policy

Required Education, Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • BS in Biology, Microbiology or other life science discipline, laboratory experience a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and phone skills
  • Be organized with strong verbal & written communication and analytical skills
  • Must be self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Quick learner, hard worker and the ability to work independently
  • Goal oriented with excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to travel when necessary
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

Work within a typical professional office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noises or adverse environmental issues. Position requires the ability to use office equipment and computers. Requires the ability to stand, walk and sit for 8 hours a day. Must have the ability to use hands to manipulate, handle, feel and control items, equipment and computers. Ability to walk, bend, kneel and reach with minimal lifting requirements. Ability to talk, hear and communicate with staff and customers over the telephone. Ability to see and be able to read, write and interpret written documents.

Job Title: Regional Field Service Engineer
Reports To: Service Manager
Position is: Salaried

Pay Structure: Salary negotiable based upon experience.

Summary of Position:

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Regional Field Service Engineer (RFSE) provides frontline support by resolving customers' problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting. The RFSE has the opportunity to drive service revenue sales targets while ensuring strong customer contract retention rate and warranty conversion rate. RFSEs enjoy the ability to work from home, be provided with a company car, iPhone, iPad, laptop and interoffice phone. The RFSE will also be required to travel within their region and North America to support customers using their technical expertise.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide phone support to customers and assist in resolving equipment problems
  • Determine when a service visit is required
  • Coordinate with customers and schedule your own travel after being assigned a case
  • Perform quality tests, calibrations, preventive maintenance and repairs to the board level at customer locations
  • Install new equipment and train customers on use
  • Prepare parts, supplies and materials required for service calls
  • Maintain accurate and detailed service records, submit service reports for invoicing and tracking of service contract usage
  • Maintain records of expenditures and submit a monthly expense report for re-imbursement
  • Interact with customers and suppliers in a manner that promotes a positive image of yourself and the company
  • All other duties that are reasonably assigned by the employer

Required Education, Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

High school graduate, some college or other relevant education a plus. 2 years experience as a Field Service Technician, Maintenance Personnel in a Manufacturing Environment or experience in the Electronics/Electro-Mechanical repair field.

  • Valid driver’s license that meets K&R Technologies’ safety requirements
  • Passport or ability to obtain one.
  • Must pass a background check
  • Sufficient personal credit to support travel expenses up to $5000/month.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing and the spoken word, in person and on the telephone; fluency in English is a must
  • Ability to work reliably and independently
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

Typical working environments include air conditioned laboratories in hospitals, universities and government facilities. Occasional gowning and clean room practices required and are customer dependant.
