    Innovative automatic safety door lock

    Easy and safe. When the autoclave lid is closed, the lid is automatically locked by a circumferential ring system. A special lip seal made of heat resistant silicone provides reliable sealing. As steam pressure builds within the sterilizer, the seal becomes tighter.

    The lid also opens easily – either at the push of a button or automatically at the end of a sterilization cycle.

    The door-locking system on this BSL-3 autoclave, is temperature dependent and adheres to national and international safety standards. The door remains locked as long as there is excess pressure in the chamber. The lid, like other parts of the pressure vessel and housing, is made of stainless steel. The modern design faceplate, which also contains the control panel, display and part of the control technology, is made of heat resistant and insulated plastic. There is no risk of the autoclave operator coming into contact with hot components.

    Steam generation

    A steam generator is incorporated in the sterilizer housing providing substantial benefits:

    • No heating elements and no reservoir for dirty water in the chamber
    • With stand-by pre-heating option, only 10 min. heating time to 121° C with an empty chamber
    • Improved removal of air from the empty chamber via pulsed heating (rapid attainment of optimal steam atmosphere, even without a vacuum)
    • Accuracy better than ± 0.5 C with empty chamber
    • Quicker cooling as neither hot water in the chamber nor the separate steam generator need be cooled
    • After cooling, steam is immediately available for the next sterilization run.
     

    Pressure-safe up to 5 bar/150 °C

    The Systec biosafety autoclaves are designed for higher pressures and temperatures. The standard pressure sterilizer chamber is designed for 5 bar/150 °C. If the expanded pressure and temperature model is selected as an option, all control and safety components are adapted to the higher temperature and pressure. This option may be retrofitted to existing BSL3 series pass through autoclaves.

    Systec biosafety autoclave units are equipped direct from the factory for sterilization temperatures up to 140 °C and 4 bar of pressure.

    Quality materials quality manufacturing

    The pressure vessel is made of corrosion-resistant electro-polished stainless steel 1.4571 (V4A) AISI 316 Ti and therefore very easy to clean. The biosafety level 3 autoclave framework and housing are also made of stainless steel. The highly efficient, high-quality Hanno-Tect insulation material releases no particles and therefore the Systec D2D-Series sterilizer is ideal for use in clean room environments

    Exhaust steam is condensed automatically via a PT 100-regulated cooling system. This prevents odors and protects waste water piping.

     

    Controls – new generation

    The Systec biosafety double door autoclave units have “comprehensive intelligence”: Pressure is controlled via an electronic pressure transducer. Additionally, there is a flexible temperature sensor in the sterilization chamber or in a reference vessel (for liquids) and another sensor at the coldest part of the chamber, the condensate outlet. The touch screen, specially developed for our laboratory autoclave, controls all relevant functions such as steam pressure, temperature and sterilization time as well as optional rapid cooling, pre / post-vacuum and drying.

Cooling Coils

Cooling coils with support pressure provide a coil wrapped around the outside of the sterilization vessel. During the cooling phase, cool water circulates through the coils, reducing cool down time. Support pressure prevents liquids from boiling over during the cooling process, eliminating evaporative loss of sterilized liquids.

Radial Ventilator

Radial ventilator for air circulation and accelerated heat removal from the sterilizer chamber. Combined with cooling coils and support pressure, the radial ventilator creates a more rapid exchange of heat from the chamber by utilizing an internal fan to circulate air.

Autoclave Radial Ventilator

UltraCool

UltraCool is an additional heat exchanger behind the radial ventilator. This special ridged coil provides a substantial increase in surface area for fast and efficient removal of heat during the cooling process. UltraCool can reduce cooling time by 90% compared to exhaust cooling and 50% compared to cooling coils with just the radial ventilator alone.

EZ-Water System

The EZ-Water system is designed to provide DI water for Systec Autoclaves and MediaPreps. The system is made up of 2 parts: the carbon filter 2000L (needed in city water applications to remove the chlorine and protect the resin bed; not needed for well water) and the resin bed, that which makes the water pure. The resin bed is available in a 2000L and 4000L version. All EZ-Water systems have an indicator light that goes from green to red when the tank needs to be exchanged soon.

    Installation Qualification (IQ):   This process reviews the pre-installation detail that the equipment, its component parts and location, are fit for the purpose and satisfy the objectives of the user to carry out the intended function to expected standards.
    The IQ qualifies the equipment is installed correctly with proper facility supplies and connections.  This Pre-qualification checks that manufacturer’s documentation, conformity and calibration detail is present.

    Operations Qualification (OQ):  This process is carried out at installation to verify the performance criteria presented by the manufacturer, to confirm the instrument satisfies its agreed metrics and is valid in the working environment by verification against traceable references.

    Performance Qualification (PQ): This process refers to the test or validation protocol carried out by the user, offering documentary evidence that the instrument is maintaining the agreed values.

    Innovative automatic safety door lock

    Easy and safe. When the autoclave lid is closed, the lid is automatically locked by a circumferential ring system. A special lip seal made of heat resistant silicone provides reliable sealing. As steam pressure builds within the sterilizer, the seal becomes tighter.

    The lid also opens easily – either at the push of a button or automatically at the end of a sterilization cycle.

    The door-locking system on this vertical autoclave, is temperature dependent and adheres to national and international safety standards. The door remains locked as long as there is excess pressure in the chamber. The lid, like other parts of the pressure vessel and housing, is made of stainless steel. The modern design faceplate, which also contains the control panel, display and part of the control technology, is made of heat resistant and insulated plastic. There is no risk of the autoclave operator coming into contact with hot components.

    Steam generation

    A steam generator is incorporated in the sterilizer housing providing substantial benefits:

    • No heating elements and no reservoir for dirty water in the chamber
    • With stand-by pre-heating option, only 10 min. heating time to 121° C with an empty chamber
    • Improved removal of air from the empty chamber via pulsed heating (rapid attainment of optimal steam atmosphere, even without a vacuum)
    • Accuracy better than ± 0.5° C with empty chamber
    • Quicker cooling as neither the hot water in the chamber nor the separate steam generator need to be cooled
    • After cooling, steam is immediately available for the next sterilization run.
     

    Pressure-safe up to 5 bar/150 °C

    The Systec V-Series vertical autoclave units are the first of its kind to be designed for higher pressures and temperatures. The standard pressure sterilizer chamber is designed for 5 bar/150 °C. If the expanded pressure and temperature model is selected as an option, all control and safety components are adapted to the higher temperature and pressure. This option may be retrofitted to existing V-series floor standing autoclave units.

    Systec vertical autoclaves are equipped direct from the factory for sterilization temperatures up to 140 °C and 4 bar of pressure.

    Quality materials quality manufacturing

    The pressure vessel is made of corrosion-resistant electro-polished stainless steel 1.4571 (V4A) AISI 316 Ti and therefore very easy to clean. The vertical autoclave framework and housing are also made of stainless steel. The highly efficient, high-quality Hanno-Tect insulation material releases no particles and therefore the Systec V-Series sterilizer is ideal for use in clean room environments

    Exhaust steam is condensed automatically via a PT 100-regulated cooling system. This prevents odors and protects waste water piping.

     

    Controls – new generation

    The Systec floor standing autoclave units have “comprehensive intelligence”: Pressure is controlled via an electronic pressure transducer. Additionally, there is a flexible temperature sensor in the sterilization chamber or in a reference vessel (for liquids) and another sensor at the coldest part of the chamber, the condensate outlet. The microprocessor, specially developed for our laboratory autoclave, controls all relevant functions such as steam pressure, temperature and sterilization time as well as optional rapid cooling, pre / post-vacuum and drying.

    Menu-presented instructions in easy to read text form. Membrane keyboard with acoustic confirmation signal. Ergonomically located in a logical and easy to operate position.

    Cooling Coils

    Cooling coils with support pressure provide a coil wrapped around the outside of the sterilization vessel. During the cooling phase, cool water circulates through the coils, reducing cool down time. Support pressure prevents liquids from boiling over during the cooling process, eliminating evaporative loss of sterilized liquids.

    Radial Ventilator

    Radial ventilator for air circulation and accelerated heat removal from the sterilizer chamber. Combined with cooling coils and support pressure, the radial ventilator creates a more rapid exchange of heat from the chamber by utilizing an internal fan to circulate air.

    UltraCool

    UltraCool is an additional heat exchanger behind the radial ventilator. This special ridged coil provides a substantial increase in surface area for fast and efficient removal of heat during the cooling process. UltraCool can reduce cooling time by 90% compared to exhaust cooling and 50% compared to cooling coils with just the radial ventilator alone.

    Vacuum System

    Superdry

    Installed steam generator supplies heat to coils that surround sterilization vessel. Rapid surface drying occurs due to the heat and the sterilizer chamber being under a vacuum.

    Air Exhaust Filtration

    The exhaust air is filtered via an autoclavable sterile filter. Neither aerosoles nor microorganisms can escape before the sterilization process is complete. Filter cartridge with PTFE membrane, pore size 0.2 um.

    Vertical Lift

    The electrical lifting device with swiveled arm facilitates the loading and unloading of heavy items. The arm can be operated by a mobile control panel. The lifting device is firmly attached to the side of the autoclave. The swivel arm has a special grip for baskets so they remain stable when full..

    EZ-Water System

    The EZ-Water system is designed to provide DI water for Systec Autoclaves and MediaPreps. The system is made up of 2 parts: the carbon filter 2000L (needed in city water applications to remove the chlorine and protect the resin bed; not needed for well water) and the resin bed, that which makes the water pure. The resin bed is available in a 2000L and 4000L version. All EZ-Water systems have an indicator light that goes from green to red when the tank needs to be exchanged soon.
