    Swabsure Swabs

SwabSure surface swabs are a two-part system including a sterile swab and an organism specific broth for the detection of Salmonella spp., Listeria spp. and E.coli/coliforms from environmental surfaces. SwabSure is intended for use in food handling and manufacturing environments on food contact surfaces.

SwabSure is considered a fundamental component of Good Manufacturing Practice and an integral part of any HACCP plan. These kits are cost-effective, accurate, easy-to-use and rapid detection method kits for environmental sampling. Detection is positive when the medium changes color.

Available size options for kits include: 100 pack, 50 pack, 10 pack or a combination 30 pack. Swabs are included except for our 100 pack, which swabs are sold separately. Kits should be refrigerated and stored at 2-8°C.

    Listeria SwabSure Test

SwabSure Listeria kit has the ability to indicate growth of Listeria spp. Allow the broth to reach room temperature before usage. After facilitating the swabbing of the sample surface, place the swab into the detection broth and spilt the breakpoint of the swab. Replace the broth cap and incubate at 25 ± 1°C for 24-48 hours. Yellow broth indicates a negative test result and black broth indicates the presence of Listeria.

    Surface Swabs for Salmonella Testing

    Salmonella SwabSure Test

SwabSure Salmonella kit has the ability to indicate growth of Salmonella spp. Allow the broth to reach room temperature before usage. After facilitating the swabbing of the sample surface, place the swab into the detection broth and spilt the breakpoint of the swab. Replace the broth cap and incubate at 36 ± 1°C for 18-24 hours. Light purple broth indicates a negative test result and black broth indicates the presence of Salmonella.

    E.coli/Coliform SwabSure Test

SwabSure Coliform kit has the ability to indicate growth of E.coli, Klebsiella spp., Enterobacter spp., Citrobacter spp. and Serratia spp. SwabSure has the new and improved benefit of separating E.coli from coliforms by an extra specific color step.  Allow the broth to reach room temperature before usage. After facilitating the swabbing of the sample surface, place the swab into the detection broth and spilt the breakpoint of the swab. Replace the broth cap and incubate at 36 ± 1°C for 18-24 hours. Purple broth indicates a negative test result and yellow broth indicates the presence of coliforms.
