Globalization of the food supply chain has introduced a diverse and affordable variety of the delicious foods we enjoy today. However, it has also increased the complexity of our food system, opening up new opportunities for fraudulent adulteration. Subsequently, this has led to a greater public health risk for consumers and greater economic and brand risk to producers.
