Our annual research travel grants will be allocated for research related travel expenses for the recipient. Go to conferences, take colleagues, attend meetings and tradeshows, be a keynote speaker, the possibilities are endless! The grant is set aside for current users of laboratory equipment purchased through Microbiology International.
To qualify for the grant, users must fill out the digital form below detailing the scope of their project and then submit a paper or poster referencing the use of the equipment in their research. The paper/poster must name the instrumentation explicitly, and include a picture of the instrument in use. Microbiology International shall be given the right to use the poster or paper for mutually agreed-upon marketing purposes.
Alternatively, the user can agree to an in-depth user profile detailing their research and use of the instrumentation for use in media outlets; the profile may be in the form of a video testimonial or a written interview, to be agreed upon by both Microbiology International and the user.
We will award a minimum of one grant per year. The value of each travel award will depend on the scope of the project, the context of the research being presented and the integral role of the instrumentation in the research being submitted. The total number of travel grants awarded per calendar year will also determine the value of the individual award. Awards will range from $500 to $1500 per item provided, to be determined after the digital form is filled out. A maximum of one award will be granted per person per year. Awardees will be reimbursed for travel-related receipts handed in after the event.
